Know of a Chimet substitute, anyone?

I would rather like to know the wind strength on 31 May 07 off Chi, but Chimet's archive is not showing for that day, nor is Bramblemet. Does anyone know of an archive I can consult?

Thanks, lescargot, but I can nevr get any sense out of the Hurst site, probably due to my using a Mac rather than a PC. Chimet is fine -- except for 31/5/07!

Probably because it uses MS tabular data - you could try using IE for Mac if you still have a copy on your machine, but MS (and Apple) gave up on it about a year ago.
Thats what happens when web developers don't test their products on all the platforms. You could always install Parallels or BootCamp and try again, but it would be a lot of trouble just for that one site.

If you go into the Met Office website there is an archive of hourly data for many locations. It certainly includes Lee on Solent there may even be data for a location closer.

Thanks, both of you. Thanks to your help I tracked down the Solent MRSC data on the Met Office site (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/education/archive/uk/observation_342.html) which gave me what I need.
