I have got some beige knobbkly rubber that is stuck to the grp on the gunwhales ( its about 4 inches wide and 12 inches long) to provide a none slip surface when you alight onto the pontoon or to help you re enter as you have to stand on the grp to get on/off. It looks like it us just stuck on so I want to put a piece of it on the tip of the bow where the anchor comes up to avoid any dings from the anchor catching the Grp on retrieval. I know that Stainless steel is an option but a shield would have to made special and would need fixing with intrusive drilling so I am looking for help to find some of that material as its quite thin, meaning easy to shape yet seem robust as it gets some wear for what it is used for. Its just in front of my rod on that picture Any suggestions?

thanks in advance

It's just normal diamond grip, the brand name is treadmaster, and you'll find it in any chandlery.

It doesn't sound ideal for the job you describe though.

+1 its treadmaster
You could probably glue some stainless checker plate on just as well as treadmaster that might do a better job
