Anyone Know anything about these. It is a camping mate 980 I think. The oil sump is filling up with petrol. I have checked the float valve in the carb and it is ok no dirt or stuck etc. If it was the carb flooding the combustion chamber i would have thought that the engine would have run extremley rich but there is no black smoke from the exhaust. Would it be the fuel pump at fault as there is a pipe running from this to the side of the crankcase to I assume operate the pump , If i blow down this pipe fuel comes out the carb into the air filter. it looks like the fuel pump is of the diaprhagm type and i am wondering if this is punctured as i have had problems with these in the past on older cars.

I've got the 2.6kw Kippor and had the same problem. It was the needle valve assembly getting stuck. Not the needle itself but the float getting stuck on it's mount.
