30cm less draft wouldn't help at all, in my opinion, as for practical purposes, you'd seldom want to cut it that fine.

I have a 27 footer with a 3ft draft. Great for creek crawling and a cheap mud mooring but a tub to windward.

To quote - it ain't necessarily so. I do my antifouling standing up, using a decorator's extension handle on the roller - which lets you get low, as well as high. The real pain in the shoulders comes from putting on the masking tape to stop a/f getting onto the boot top, and then to keep the boot top paint from going onto the hull and the a/f. With my draught of 1.5m (plus a bit for the cradle and the chocks) I'm struggling to get to boot top done easily. Any more and I'd need to half inch some milk crates.
