kad 44\'s

have just completed 100 hours since engines where fully serviced back in april. total hours run are 340. beginning to get a little bit of sqealing from superchargers when they are coming in which i assume means the belts need tightening but i understand a special tool may be needed ? any ideas please.
also i plan to do about another 30 hours before the end of october when the boat will be hauled out and servicing carried out which will include valve clearances. should i think about oil change ?
all advice appreciated as this is the first season with the boat.
thanks
ben

you could get the service done or part done now, while she is in the water. as if you go over hours to much ,things start to go wrong, and get the rest done when you lift her. She is giving you warnings now, better safe than sorry when it comes to engines.

Re: kad 44\'s

On the KAD32, I use a ring spanner for the adjuster locknut, plus a small torque wrench plus socket to tension. No special tools needed that I'm aware of. Just be aware that it might not be the supercharger belt, but the smaller one that drives the pulley and water pump (adjusted the same way, tho).

Either way, you need to get this sorted, as slipping generates loads of heat which will cook your belts in no time...
