KAD 44 Supercharger Clutch

Thanks Bruce, I will keep those for future reference but I suspect this issue may be a bit out of my league

If the belt is slipping and squealing it sloose or contaminated with oil/diesel. Either way take it off and clean it and all the pulleys and re-tension. Probably worth fitting new ones if its been happening for a while, the slipping will cook the rubber surface.

As to why the S/C is cutting in and out - what RPM is the engine at when its doing this?

That is a common symptom of a turbo charger issue. There have been a lot of threads - the KAD/KAMD turbos are not very robust. The turbo is not producing enough boost pressure and the engine slows down and re-engages the supercharger to try again. It will do it more if the sea is lumpy. Could just be an air leak in the pipework but brace yourself for probably new turbos or possibly a rebuild with new exhaust housing and impellers.
