Hauled Saturday, Relaunched Tuesday, Wadda yer bin doinn all that time yacking n tea i spose

Should've been back in weeks ago! Blasted weather. It's the downside of only being able to get down to the boat when shift patterns allow. Back in a week on Friday at last

You chaps are lucky.....I'd give any antifoul paint you care to mention 6 weeks in the tidal Medway before cleaning is needed, leave it 12 weeks and a you'll need a couple of mates with scrapers!

Curiously in MDL Chatham, one coat of anything you like, half heartedly applied works fine!

When we were on a swinging mooring we nearly always needed a mid-season scrub.
Marina based, whatever we slapped on seemed to work.

Now enjoying 3rd season of Coppercoat.

I can easily do 2 cts in a day or even less if a day like today

Sure. So can I, 2 hrs to Af TG, but that ignores the Manufacturer's times - 7 hrs to overcoat, 8 - 20 for launching - and that's at 23 degrees C. I have found to my cost that you can get the stuff on and it stays but it doesn't work. I'm doing it between tides so I have to let the hull dry off before I can start. Pity we can't go back to the old days where you had to launch within a couple of hours.

Probably down to all the TBT deposited there over the years from the Grey Funnel line...

So what magical potion do you use
I only wish it was a magical potion! I've used Micron 66 on the the last two occasions which were in 2007 and 2010. It needs doing again now and it was already fairly useless by last summer.

Maybe I'm just a miserable git with over optimistic or unrealistic expectations, but with the amount of the Micron 66 I put on I expected it should have been doing just fine last summer and it wasn't.
But, it was way better than the pics shown after a similar amount of time, and that was with very little boat use.

Seaqueen is supposed to be multi season, dependent upon the number of coats. Hence, I was surprised that so many people were impressed by the pics above. I would have been mightily hacked off if mine was like that just over a year.

I was considering SeaQueen for this year and those pics have convinced me otherwise.
