Just pictures

This was a very unusual cloud formation near Start Point in Devon in June 2017. I have posted this before and see below the photo to see what change to the weather occured.

This was a cold front that dropped the air temperature by about 10C and brought thick fog.
When I first noticed these I called them jellyfish clouds. I was mortified to find out that other people also call them that. You can see the rain dropping out of them, presumably bringing cold air with it.

It’s called a morning glory cloud. A convergence zone or an atmospheric wave.
Ah thats certainly what it was thanks! I just checked the metadata and it was at 6pm so not strictly a morning phenomena but seems to be very rare other than a particular place in Australia.

Somewhere I hzve a selfie sitting sideways on top of an engine ....
Now think of how much space there is around the engines in a very slim hulled catamaran ...

When .i wired in the battery charger I climbed into the cupboard ...

I am only 6’2”....
