we all had a chat about it over on mobochat. The word seems to be that it has such low freeboard that it wd be no good in the sea, and yet rivers in UK have so few slipways that it would not be viable there either. Also, it's £150k which buys lots and lots of helicopter rides, i spose. Boo hoo.

I don't know ... why tow a pwc when you can just drive straight down the slipway? The extra cool factor must make it more of a babe magnet, without the need to dress up in neoprene before going out on the water, although that depends on what sort of babes you're trying to attract I suppose. Probably best not to go in that direction on a Friday afternoon.

the issue was raisded of getting out at the other end on a steep and slippery slope. Front wheel drive won't give much grip. Agreed quite cool. But er i thort the idea was to dump the car and have a w/e off? As others have said, an ace car and and ace powerboat would cost a lot less.

Very true, although a speedboat that size is hardly a weekender. Mind you, it would be worth trying one out just to see the look on the faces at the fuel pontoon.

Bl***y Hell. Its bad enough watching HWMBO trying to reverse into an Asda parking space, The thought of her trying to reverse that into the marina berth is truly scarey. (Hope she doesn't read this!!!) Mick.

Several UK companies have apparently adopted a policy of insisting that employees always reverse into their parking spaces on "health and safety" grounds. It has been suggested that this is a form of sex discrimination, given the well-known ability of women to reverse their automobiles.
I'm going home now before they get out to the car park and run me over.

Reminds me of the "Amphicar" (sp). Guy who lived down the street from me in Dundee around 1968 had one, and I actually saw one in the river at Wareham around 1988.
Much better with one of those DUKW things from WW2 IMHO!
