Just can\'t get enough....
....boat that is!
By the weekend, I will be two weeks into the "closed season". I must be a real saddo 'cos my yearnings for the boat can only be likened to craving a cigarette (I did used to smoke back in '92) where any excuse to find a ciggy, when you don't have one, is good enough.
I have manged to blag this weekend at our caravan in N. Wales without SWMBO and kids in order to:-
Waxoyl the trailer
Clean the boat
Waxoyl the under frame of the caravan
"Well, its much to cold and wet for you m'dear" / "and you wouldn't want to be scrabbling around under a caravan would you"
It works!! Not only have I got Sat / Sun in N. Wales this weekend but I have another weekend lined up for early December.
Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you...a friend of mine with a Shetland and a caravan on the same park is coming along for the weekend without his family. Purely coincidence, of course! And another thing...the yacht club will be open for steak & chips and Brakspear bitter on Saturday night. I'm like a likkle kid at Christmas.
Reading these forums, I kinda suspect that I may not be the only saddo, boat-junkie out there.
