Just to add to the debate you will find many low cost Pioneer 9s out there that are great sea boats, just under 30ft and give a Contessa 32 a good run for the money. Certainly far more space than the Contessa 26 or folkboat.

It's a odd boat alround, not many 27 footer's with a chart table that would take a single folded chart, with space left !.

How would the jury feel about an Etap 28??
I must admit, after reading and following "Pipedream" and his exploits too and from the Azores, its really given me the bug. I'd have to get a lot of training in and do some serious mods to my boat, but does everyone think and Etap would stand up out there in the Oceans??
I cant even imagine the feelings that would come in completing a voyage like that, but I've already got the go ahead from SWMBO so who knows....
