Investigation of slight irregularity in running of the engine revealed that the primary filter (Racor) was contaminated with a jelly like substance.
Dose anyone have any experience of such a phenomenon? Cause? Cure? I cannot find a mention of this sort of contamination in my Nigel Calder 'bible'.
Although we have bought fuel in a series of 3rd world countries in the past few years, this is best(?!) quality European, the last two fills being Cadiz and Portimao.
I assume that I will need to pump all the fuel out of the tank and discard it.
Any suggestions to mitigate such a prospect?
