Had a bad weekend. Car broke down and stuck with family you only want to see once in a blue moon. Then to top it all off the brokers call me to say the owner of the 805 has now decided to keep the boat. So the sale is off. P`eed off no not at all!!!!!!!
Land Rover are waiting for parts the TD5 110 they have loaned me has crippled my back the workers are not pulling there wait, oh i could go on!
Anyway boat hunting again. Anyone here dealt with Prosser Marine i found out they have a Monterey 265 which i have always wanted since i saw it at SIBS 2 years ago. Going to try and find time to go and have a look at it. SWMBO has allowed me to rob a few pennies from her savings to keep me quiet.
Any views on the Scots??

I know a few people who have bought from Prosser Marine and they have not had anything bad to say. On the other hand they didnt go overboard in saying they were the best so middle of theroad as far as I know.

Prossers are just a long the road from my work, here in Glasgow.
Stan Prosser And David O'Rouke are always very pleasent and from before i bought my first boat, have always given me advice and tips, free of charge. I've never bought a boat from them 'yet', but at Shows they always go out of their way to come over and talk to me, if they see me passing.

If they had a boat i was looking for i would have no hesitation about buying from them, as long as i was happy with the deal.
I have heard good and bad reports of them, but i say if you are happy with the deal they are offering you, then thats all that matters.
They did recently have a Jeaneau 805 Diesel for sale, but don't know if its still there.

ANYWAY!!!!! Whats wrong with us Scots???? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

SOme local baot sales people are critical but its cos they cant compete with Prossers. I got a good deal last year from David O Rourke for my 2yr old Maxum2900scr against a 3 yr old Sealine F33. Great service and back up and always willing to do business. They have showrooms in Glasgow, Largs and soon Northern Ireland and are developing a marina on the Clyde. They sell more sealines at Soton and London shows than anyone else and sell more sealines worldwide than anyone else. Also do Bayliners and several other brands. Good firm and certainly worth doing a deal with.
