Jeanneau now have a sales pontoon on the East jetty in Brighton - or is that West - no, definitely East. Three new boats arrived yesterday with a promise of more to come.

I applied for the sales job, didn't even get an interview.

So when you go in and buy your new Jeanneau just mention that you would have bought two if I was selling them.

Yer well I think its time they let us women had a good - I 'm sure we could do a better job. Anyway it would be better than commuting to Chichester everyday!

what they don't realise is that women play a big part in their partners choice of boat and would relate to a saleswoman

Hmm! Some car companies realised this some time ago, though doesn't always translate into what happens in the salesroom.

Companies of any sort who don't realise the the female half of the relationship has a huge say in a major purchase don't deserve to be in business.

Good point Pauline. It is IMHO the woman in the partnership that will finall decide what house/ boat the family/partnership will buy, based upon the factors that suit them most. I dont have a problem with that after all it is they that have to put up with the cramped Heads, the slippy decks, poorly appointed cleats, unsafe(for kids)access, and ease of use should the old man have a heart attack trying to operate it. Walton Marine should indeed take heed that a womans "touch" is very much needed in such matters. Brighton marina flat sales always had women sales- wo"men".

Of course the woman has the final say in the purchase but a Sales WOMAN - err a SalesMAN can tell you what colour it is and if it has net curtains but can a SalesWOMAN tell you if it has SU or Stromberg carbs !!! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

that doesn't even deserve a reply - never had you down as such a chauvinist. Unless it was tongue in cheek, in which case I aplogise
