The differences will be really subtle, but whereas the semi d hull shape is great up to about 20 knots it starts getting a little bit of a handful over 20 and to be honest you won't be gaining much as you'll just be using more fuel.
The semi P hull shape will be happy to go beyond to maybe later 20's if powered by the right engine/s, but does retain the same excellent characteristics at lower planing speeds.
Yours, with the Yanmar 260 is nice, but don't expect much more than 20 knots with her.
The semi d will be quite a wet boat up until planing speeds whereas the semi p will be a little drier unless there is a really brisk wind kicking up the spray.
Rest assured the boat is a very capable 30ish footer. I've taken them through some very asty short chops and tide races and apart from slowing down to displacement speeds I never felt unsafe. Likewise, she'll run nicely in an open water swell both ahead and following and she is quite comfortable, not to mention looking great when seen from another boat.
As she retains a keel (albeit much smaller than the big skeg on the 695 and 805) the differences really are barely noticeable, but that keel really does a good job in making a smallish boat feel much bigger.
