Re: Electric toilets

I was thinking about the one offered by Jabsco as upgrade of their manual toilets. Any experience with that one?

Re: Electric toilets

Slav, if you mean the 29200 conversion that replaces the manual pump on the same base, the power consumption is quite high--it draws a whopping 26 amps, compared to only 16 for most other raw water electric toilets. I suggest you consider going with the 37010 instead, which costs about the same. The "works" can be mounted to the side or to the rear, btw. All raw electric toilets are a bit noisy, some noisier than others...so if you have enough fresh water capacity, consider going with the pressurized flush water version...not only are they MUCH quieter, but only draw about 10 amps/flush (it's the intake pump on a raw water toilet that makes all the noise and needs the most power)...and will also eliminate odors caused by stagnant sea water trapped in the head intake in raw water toilets.

To answer your question, Robin...I'm currently based in Little Rock AR, which--unless you count bass boats--is anything BUT a boating 'mecca." I relocated here from GA a couple of years ago to be near my 88 yr old dad who lives here. When he's gone, I'm going back to where there' are boats big enough to have toilets!

Re: Electric toilets

We're going to Indiana to visit the kids/grandkids in 3 wks, that too is way too far from the salty stuff for me. I get over it by playing golf every day and dropping into the local West Marine store every few days for a fix!

Re: Electric toilets

Peggie

thank you for reply. The 29200 is easy to install and we have generator on board. The main reson for change is the power one have to aply for flashing. I never heard of 37010 but will check.

Thank you,

Slavko
