Has anyone here used Jabsco impellors before and what was their opinion of them?
Reason I ask is that I've recently tried to fit one on a Volvo AQD40a and it doesn't want to go on. Before anyone ask's yes according to the leaflet inside the box it came it, ( according to Jabsco ), is the right one but the fit just isn't right. The impeller pump shaft is just a tad too thick for it to go on. After a bit of gentle persuasion with my hand it still won't go on the splines yet the old Volvo one will and seems to fit perfectly with just some modest shoving.
After inspecting the inside of the shim on the Jabsco I can see tiny score marks in the pits of the grooves that lead me to believe that it's a micron or two too small.
Thoughts anyone?
