Jabsco heads pipework confusion

Any ideas why the jabsco loop fitting is not semi circular - seems perverse ? Might tend to prevent hose slipping off but otherwise not a good look.

Yes, going to. Just glad I found this out before cutting the (very expensive) pipe.

No-one has answered my query as to how tight the nuts should be on the valves in the loops??

It's a TMC anti-syphon loop. The 'nut' I am referring to contains the small duckbill one-way valve. I guess if the valve is working the 'nut' containing it should be screwed all the way down.

Have removed and cleaned the valve, it is working though stiffer than I would have expected.

Every day's a schoolday on a boat. Now to service the Jabsco pump and replace the Nuovo Rade Italian pump I bought when the joker valve inverted 18 months ago and I thought the pump was broken.

(The Nuevo Rade has never felt as robust as the Jabsco, it will now become the 'spare' pump)
