Jabsco 2.9 pump - slowing down flow rate?

If it's any consolation I did learn something about these pumps from pvb as a result of you post so hopefully we now all know the options if we encounter . Maybe the next question is how you reduce the noise from these pumps ?
 
Perhaps replacing the tap with one that is more controllable would be a cheaper option that changing the pump!

Seems a sensible suggestion.
No way of changing flow rate - totally controlled by the amount of water being drawn.
 
yes it does - but with the tap fully open water splashes everywhere and it would be nice not to have to remind anyone who doesn't want an impromptu shower not to turn the tap full on,

You can reduce the pressure by removing the blue cover on the end, (1 screw), then turning the Philips screw underneath anti clockwise. I’d do it in half turns and keep a note of turns so you can revert to the original setting if needs be. I did this to increase pressure a while ago.
