Watched the last series and thought sailing would be a great one to do. I hate to think what the swap would be, ie the total antithesis of what boating people enjoy- the thought scares me.

BE WARNED

Anyone unfamiliar with this reality show should be warned that you will be sharing this great holiday with another family calculated least likely to enjoy it. Then you have to spend a week doing their sort of holiday, whatever that is:- hot-gospelling Christian camp; enforced inactivity in a sterile monstrosity of a "resort hotel"; Butlins....

It would need to be a big boat for 2 families and a film crew!

Re: BE WARNED

That's what I mean when I hate to think what the swap would be.

I'm sure you would get to take over an entire Greek sailing flotilla one summer - or maybe a couple of craft out of Largs in October?

55ft-That's far too much comfort if you want people to hate it. How about a stripped out Open 60 with pipe cots and no hot water.

Which country are you thinking of?

I'm also wondering how the ultimate sailing family is defined- from the last series, it seems prerequisate to have children old enough to complain bitterly and/or/ love it and never forgive their parents for not doing fun things like this before. I remember the lad who'd never been allowed to do outdoor stuff and had also never done any mountain biking- he loved it, but the parents were reluctant to let him do it because it would mean addressing their own fears about physical activity.

To be honest we are looking to speak to any family who have at least one teenage kid who all (reluctantly or not) go sailing on holiday
