Sea Rush is a MoBo for the winter.

I left the sails up last year & never sailed her once, partly because I stuffed my Achilles in February & had my leg in plaster for 13 weeks, but mostly because the weather wasn't very nice. So, this year the sails have come off & no doubt there will be a couple of lovely sailing days wit F3-4 beam winds & sunshine when I am there. I shall just have to grin & bear it.

I'd prefer to sail when there's a F4 on the beam. But it hardly ever happens, so my mobo is just the ticket. Just enjoy being on the water :)

As your sails aren't there you can be assured there will be a F4 on the beam every day you're out though...............

Just think of all the extra space you can create when all the sailey things have been taken off her.:)
Plus on the cold wet days you can stay at home and do all the restoration for a grand summer next year.

You'll have to explain that one, I've only ever had Westerlies, not that there's anything wrong with an Achilles if you like narrow beam yachts.

Erm It was a rather bad joke! (I stuffed my Achilles) yes I know it was your leg! never mind:)

Whoops, sorry. I completely missed that one.

Dave, (old Salt)

The aft cabin is full of sails & foc'sle is full of bedding. I daren't take them home - SWMBO would go ape, we are already down to the last useable bedroom in a 4 room house.

So if I get a winter W/E trip with you I will be stuffed in the aft apartment and cosy with all the sails.:D
You could do what Foxtrot Dave has done and get a lockup container.

As you've gone to the dark side SR, wot you need now is a nice set of underwater lights.
course you'll need a big fat genny to keep them going all night. Best to find a nice quiet anchorage to run it in, no point in hiding your lights under a bushel eh. happy days!

but you still look like a raggie with that mast and bits of string dangling everywhere, how much trouble is it to take it off, then you can put a few deck chairs on top, radar arch and then you just need a turbo, supper charger, after cooler ,alright you might not go any faster but loads of smoke, loads of noise , loads of wash.............youre almost there, just need a few thousand lumen of blue lights :D

While you have got your sails off , it would be a great opportunity to enhance your sails with blue lights.

Not sure how well my photo can be seen but there are 100 led lights stitched into my canopy.
Almost invisible during the day but look what happens (almost like magic ) as each night the days stored solar power is released :)
