My son is due to go on some rugby tour to italy. unfortunately, i can't attend because i am otherwise on boaty pursuits. But inorder to demonstrate my support, I wonder if anyone can help with the follwing phrases?

"Referee!!"
"Knock-on!"
"Offside"

also the italian for
a Scrum
a Try
a penalty
a conversion
a total drubbing
a fabulous victory

plus any other useful rugby phrases

'fraid my italian is limited to "Chip-a-tatta-no-a-redi-yet!" which loosely translates to "Your snack is not quite prepared!" .. hope that helps

unità di elaborazione il bastardo nel tocco is often useful

here's a recent piccie of italian schools rugby

a fabulous victory --> unknown to Italian rugby dictionary

<>plus any other useful rugby phrases<>

l'inghilterra vince sempre

excellent stuff thanks.

A pity that "forza italia" has been nicked. By the same token, I quite the idea of a British National Party, great pity iti has bee hijacked such that it now so unacceptable in reality...

Re: Such Fun

apparently it's the done thing, with all the trendy dads these days turning up on tour with added advantage that they don't have to play. The kids had a toothpaste fight (?) last time, i'm told, as if to encourage me to attend. Must be fairly horrid cos mums are not at all invited to go. The coach chappie reports that that they tend not to go to the same place twice.

Re: trendy dads

bit of a mire there
much better to be oil covered boat breaking eccentric dad
trendy dads only end up trying to bond with their kids which normally involves gate crashing their parties and then embarrassingly trying to bed their son's female friends

Ko\'nu-tto

Tipically associated to the referee.
It spells 'cornuto' in the original language.
