It is raining in Scotland - again - pictures

I've been back in Scotland for 6 weeks now, and have counted 3 days without rain in Inverness, where I've been trying to varnish my wooden-varnished Folkboat. "Can't smile, won't smile" is my motto of the month.

He that goes to Scotland and is not bathed frequently in soft summer showers is a liar. ( or inside)

The year before last I spent 29 consecutive days on the west coast, going (loosely) Clyde - Crinan - Gigha - Iona - Coll - Skye - Gometra - Crinan, without once being rained on. We had a shower one night while we were all in bed and that was it. Spooky.

not complaining but....

It's the end of June and the schools are about to close for the summer holidays and you wonder why it's raining? July and the first two weeks in August are known for as the rainy season up here.
