Really struggled to get ATF (O.6L) out of gearbox with Pella manual extraction pump. Seems I only removed less than two thirds after an hours pumping because initially added 375ml and it’s well above upper mark on dipstick, almost at top of flatted section. So I now have a) too much fluid and b) mix of Dextron 111 (old ) and 11D (new)
How important is this? I could get a 12v pump but I can’t get the end of the suction pipe any further in

I think it is always going to be a struggle to get at all the oil from the top, is the drain plug inaccessible ? That's the sure fire method but don't overtighten the drain plug or it can be stripped.

At the moment you say you have 66/33 fresh fluid. if you run it a few minutes changing gear a few times you will mix the fluid up then change it again with fresh fluid and you will have 83% fresh fluid. You can in theory carry on doing this but personally I would not bother.

I've had good success with using a big syringe and a thin tube stuck on the end. I stripped the wires out of a piece of cable to get the tube. I found that the small diameter allowed me to get to the bottom of the gearbox from the dipstick hole easily. Commercial items I've seen all have too wide a tube.
The whole process took just a few minutes.
