I have the chance of a 2nd hand Isotherm fridge unit. The main problem being that the vendor removed it from his previous boat - and lost the gas charge. He had to separate the units to remove them.

The question is, or rather are,
1) what type of gas i.e. freon 12, (ozone (more) friendly) 134a or what??
2) can it be re-gassed easily??
3) do new units have a type of bursting disc on the couplings if they are delivered in two parts??
4) who markets them now?? (previously Pumpkin).
5) anyone seen them at the boat show?? I'm going on Wednesday.

Any other information would be gratefully received. At the moment I have a Peltier fridge unit, but want to fit something a bit colder - for the ice for the G 'n T. Why else do you need ice??

Sorry to ask so many questions, but I know someone can answer them.

regards,
Philip

Visit site
Connect it all up and any local refigeration company will refill and test it for very little money.

Answer to last question:- Have you tried it warm?
