In previous years we have kept our boat in the water over the winter, but for this winter we decided to have her lifted out and stored on the hard from end of October to end of March.
Given she is kept in the Netherlands, I accept things may be different. We pay about £2K for a whole years berthing in the marina. The marina then want another £1K to lift out, winter store and lift back in next spring. This means we will be paying for two places when the boat can only occupy one!
We are now having the boat lifted out, antifouled & new anodes and straight back in again.
What is the norm in a UK marina?
