In previous years we have kept our boat in the water over the winter, but for this winter we decided to have her lifted out and stored on the hard from end of October to end of March.

Given she is kept in the Netherlands, I accept things may be different. We pay about £2K for a whole years berthing in the marina. The marina then want another £1K to lift out, winter store and lift back in next spring. This means we will be paying for two places when the boat can only occupy one!

We are now having the boat lifted out, antifouled & new anodes and straight back in again.

What is the norm in a UK marina?

just pay extra 4 the out + wash-off + lift in

Annual fee whether in the water or in the yard. Just pay extra for lifts.

You can just have a summer berth and take you boat away for the winter or you can just come in for the winter and pay for a berth or hard-standing & lifts.

I pay for hire of a cradle as well. In the past I've only spent 1:3 winters ashore so haven't bought a cradle, but may do so another year.

MDL charge for your berth and extra for days on the hardstanding, you do get so many free if you are and annual berth holder, no charge for cradle

That's odd, I pay 1,050€ for my 31 ft in Terneuzen, 1 April to 1 November. And then a different contract for the winter (Brussels yacht club, 240€ :-)

I think you chose the annual contract, rather than the seasonal one? Most people put their boat in a different port in winter:
-closer to home for maintenance
- more inland: better protected and cheaper
