Is this a raw water strainer?

Hi,

See photo... I didn't think my boat had a raw water strainer but perhaps it does? The feed from the bottom is the raw water inlet and then it branches out at 90 degrees to serve the engine. There is a cap on top with two lugs that looks like it should undo.

Worth checking what the strainer is inside. I had a boat where the previous owner had made one out of a piece of copper tube with lots of holes drilled in it, it had all but corroded away. You can buy plastic strainers from ASAP.
