Is there anything better than this for carrying one litre of spare petrol?

I don't need an extra 5L and not a fan of those green plastic cans with their rubbish spouts. I'd rather carry a couple of these. I guess this is all i need but has anyone discovered something else for carry smaller than 5L amounts of petrol or advise against it for some good reason?

It would be well marked of course

I'd never even thought about a smaller container for the outboard, that's a great idea. Wickes sell a very small petrol container for mixing 2 stroke for strimmers etc. that might work too. Petrol might kill the seals on one of those alu bottles so worth testing or researching that before committing. Love the idea though and that would be much easier to carry.

The main tank on the 3.5hp tohatsu being 1.4L having an extra 5L seems excessive! And as you say much easier to carry a well sealed 1L bottle. I can make an alternate washer if it proves not suitable.

Found the wickes one thanks for that Handy 2 Stroke Fuel Mixing Bottle - 1L | Wickes.co.uk but the review saying the neck seal is not that great which isn't very promising. The shape looks likely to add an additional glug to pouring as well.

Ridiculous idea. … what if someone who doesn’t know assumes it’s a drink and takes a swig?
In my youth I lived in a house full of 'alternative folks'. At some point someone had collected urine in wine bottles, They had left but the bottles remained. Most of us knew what was in them. But then someone new moved in. A few weeks later....

Bingo. Glad I asked. In fact feeling foolish for not googling it first! That german one is perfect and very happy to be supporting more local than usual manufacturing.

"Filling opening suitable for the service station" Perfect!

I have one and find it excellent in terms of seal and pouring...for the strimmer. Madabouttheboat has posted some much better options though so please ignore mine, I'll be buying the little red can!

careful, it was more expensive there than Amazon for the one I just ordered. They seem to mess about with the price and shipping. I went for the 1l with lockable spout which was a couple of ££ cheaper on Amazon
arrival date made it seem it was shipping from EU which worries me, haven't tried that lately.
