I am curious. Yesterday afternoon and early evening hundreds of flags were put on the beach between the Pilot boats harbour and the old lighthouse. This morning they were all gone. What was that all about?

It's another demonstration, as if there weren't enough of them, to raise awareness about the environment. All funded by taxpayer money and the tax on the stupid.

Not sure what it has to do with the environment. It looks like a commercial venture to advertise the hire of Kinetika's flags

I see that some "personalities" are going to do every walk. I wonder how much petrol they will use to get to the start of each walk to support saving the environment?

Thanks for that. It could be fun, I would do some of the walks if I were in the UK and had my Covid 19 jab, but I am not sure many people will take part. There were only a handful of people (10 or 12) looking at flags in Harwich yesterday evening. One problem with the walks is getting back to the start, unless the organizers have organized transport

The whole event does not seem to have real objective. Maybe it is just an advertisement for hiring Kinetika's flags. Sorry if I sound cynical. I notice it is being funded by public money

David I think you will find that 'Artists' have a different agenda and are publicly criticised at your personal peril.
I much enjoyed interviewing a Performance Artist called Jeff Nuttall in my University days. He got a fair grant of cash from
the Arts Council to walk around East Anglia with a bunch of vegetables on his head. My how we laughed over a beer or two.
I must admit I had no idea, nor care, what Income Tax was in those days.

It is just an arty thing, like the latest at Fountains' Abbey today.

In 2015 there was an event called something like, "A celebration of the River Crouch".
It sounded interesting so I tried to find out about it. All I could discover was that you were go to a flag making workshop event, then carry the flags along the seawall to Hullbridge.
Hopefully there was a bit more to it but I couldn't find out.
