Just looking out the window....yuk!

Having put Shady (Moody 30) up on the hard in Plymouth to do a few minor last jobs, before sailing her around to the Exe. I must admit to feeling very frustrated with the weather...Snow!!!! rain etc. etc.
But lookiing back I think you must agree there really were some super weekends during the winter & it really convinced me this year to keep the boat in the water in the future.

Shady has had a lot of work done, (credit cards now maxed, ho hum!) & I am looking forward to using her to go on tour of the the west country ports & rivers, roll on spring, its good to look forward to a new season with a new yacht, where would you suggest is THE spot not to miss within say 2 weeks there & back from the Exe, France? Ireland?
Or just go & not come back?

Hope to see some of you during the summer there is always a single malt aboard.
look us up.

poter.

If it is, it's hard to believe. This time last year daughter bought her first new sports car and was blessed with two weeks of solid sunshine - thought she was God's Gift.
Now, as you say, looking out of the window it's rain and sleet in a b....y cold NE'ly, and I have to do a survey tomorrow, Oh goody.
The need to be afloat again is becoming pretty intense none the less.

Depends where you are, I guess. Yes, in East Cornwall yesterday we had huge big floppy snowflakes for and hour or two, and now it is raining but it has been quite mild (11 degrees at noon) today and the forecast is for a steady rise each day but with a stormy day on Sunday. Supposed to get to about 13 or 14 by Tuesday.
And before Wednesday we have had about 3 weeks of dry and sunny weather, but frosty at nights. Daffodils been out since mid January, up to 3 weeks earlier than usual.

Global Warming is here

Apparantly - global warming means the Gulf Stream will move South, say mid-Portugal. Everything North of the GS then get ffffffffffreezing, cold , poxy miserable weather systems. Look at the map, UK same lat as Nova Scotia. Damn cold there.

Average global temp goes up, UK winter temp comes down!!!!!!
