It appears that I've ruffled feathers even at this distance. In response to my earlier post I've just logged-on and discovered two less than friendly PMs from regular 'Loungers', suggesting that if I don't like it there then don't go in. I've tried to politely explain (careful to only use small words) that Scuttlebutt isn't actually 'in' their domain, so hopefully they'll leave me alone?
Actually, it was rather disconcerting to find that they'd even seen my post; I'd always assumed that the Lounge doorway had one of those gate things with the tricky catches, like the one our friends with small kiddies have at the top and bottom of their staircase?

I am afraid this is all down to poor running of the forum, moderators should be moving posts and dealing with persistant offenders, banning members who send abusive pm's etc. Unfortunatley this forum seems to be run by those that shout the loudest.

I strayed into the lounge a couple of times and decided I didn't really want to spend my time in there. It's OK to have some "entertainment" and banter in Scuttlebutt I think, especially with the bad weather. In another thread someone referred to Scuttlebutt as Shoutyerbutt which I thought was quite apt...
