Well not doing thread drift , if all the stories are true of EU counties don’t know how to police their borders the same , it shows we are right to be independent.

the replies in this post read it all.
Ok, fact, my wife let Palma Mallorca on Friday with her brit passport and her permanent resident card (TIE) bound for
Leeds Bradford for her sins, her passport has not been stamped and protocols that are in place have been followed to the letter. I'm all ears for your experience.

So she’s still in the EU according to the Spanish “ system “ at that particular point in time .Never left .
Brixham bound inference the EU don’t know what they doing / police there borders stands .
You have just proved it by way of one example.Thx !

Shes in a 3 P country from the EU and the EU are oblivious.Well that’s just great border control is it not ? They have no idea where she’s been , Columbia , Goa. , etc via the U.K.

And the U.K. Borders are absolutely top notch, and that's world beating and that's better than theirs. Really

I guess the real problem may come if she tries to eurotunnel to France (for eg) . Does the guy in the French border control understand the Spanish TIE. He will see a passport stamped out but not back in (if he’s looking for that) However I don’t think there is a days counting system for the EU up and running yet but could be a stressful encounter.

Ok Clancy I got back from Nice on the 16th of June looking at marinas , my passport
was stamped in Nice on the way out , so how long have I spent in the EU. Ps maybe Ursh will call me.

The TIE clearly states what type of residency you have, temporary or permanent, it also states which country you are from (GBR), your date of birth, address, photo and biometric fingerprints even your tax number is on it and that It is issued under Articoulo 50, it couldn't be much clearer.

All these fiddles "in/out" of the EU/UK are one thing.
But the point that some of you (UK citizens) are missing is what happens if something goes wrong.
Maybe an accident whilst you are in the EU or maybe something as simple as a being caught speeding whilst driving.
It is in your interest to make sure that your passport gets stamped in and out of the EU.

It’s called an island or is it islands ? Remember the sea by any chance ?
Sure a few rubber boats aided by crime syndicates and arguably Fr turning a blind eye get through.
God knows who’s roaming about within the EU and how many’s thousands just walk in , drive in etc .

Or a 3p in the U.K. .
I refer you to the little Fr lad chucked out of the Tate modern from a zillion stories up .Spent exactly what you describe in Tommy’s .

Nearly 60,000 people set to cross English Channel in 2022 as Home Office agrees £234,000 spend on charter boat

60,000 expected this year - that border control we took back control of is going really well isn't it ????????????
Before 2016 it was a few hundreds a year - thanks to the Dubin Agreement, obliging France to accept them back if they crossed to the UK. So rather than let them cross with all the associated paper work and hassle and cost, France stopped them crossing. Remember Sangatte camps??????
Have a look at UK immigration numbers for 2022 as well - that's also going really really well.

Still now we are independant, we are now over run with potential illegals, incompetence and corruption.

Exactly the same as my experience on all trips since Brexit. No stamps in or out, which is what's supposed to happen when in transit to/from country of residence.
