Thanks for the tip on "Your Europe Advice".Unfortunately this isn't so. As I can obtain a Polish passport , I made enquiries with Your Europe Advice. This was their reply.
Dear Sir,
Thank you for this enquiry.
As you will already know the UK left the EU on 31 January 2020 under the terms of a Withdrawal Agreement agreed between the UK and EU-27. The Withdrawal Agreement provides for certain limited protections for EU nationals who have exercised their EU rights of free movement in the UK until 31 December 2020. The Withdrawal Agreement provides for certain protections as you were resident in the UK prior to that date.
As you will already know the EU comprises an area in which the free movement of EU nationals is ensured. This freedom of movement is set out in Directive 2004/38/EC.
In outline, the free movement rules provide as follows:
1. As a Polish citizen you are entitled to leave the UK and travel throughout the EU for a year without any formalities other than a valid passport or national identity card (Article 5.1).
In general terms, other than Romania, you can enter a single EU country and remain there for a period of up to three months as a tourist. After that period of three months, you must formalise your residence there and must, in general, be either economically active or financially self-sufficient.
2. Your British wife is entitled to join you in travelling throughout the EU as follows:
a. She can travel to Ireland without any restrictions, without a visa.
b. She can travel in and through each of the EU states which are not part of the Schengen area: Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Cyprus for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa;
c. She can travel in and through the Schengen Area: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland, for a combined total of up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa.
In respect of (b) : Her residence in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Cyprus operates on a purely national basis. This means that this provides up to four 90-day periods.
In respect of (c): the 90-day period in the Schengen Area operates across the whole of the Schengen Area.
3. If the two of you wish to remain in the Schengen Area for a period longer than three months, your wife should obtain a long-term visa. She should obtain that visa from the place that will be the "main place" of the stay or, if none, the state which is the first port of entry.
She can obtain a short-term multiple entry visa. That visa will be valid in that main state for up to a year, but will also her to travel to other Schengen Area states for a period of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Alternatively, if the two of you remain in one state, she can obtain a "residence card for family member of an EU/EEA national". This would allow her to remain in that state with you, and also travel with you for further 90-day periods in other EU states, without a visa.
We appreciate that this is complicated. In summary, your wife is likely to need a visa in order to remain in the Schengen Area for an extended period of time, even as a family member of an EU national. The only exemption is if she obtains a residence card within an EU state (other than Poland).
The Directive is available at the following website:

We hope that this clarifies your situation.
Your Europe Advice.
Just to put some perspective on the links PeteMs kindly provided for the forum ( I knew this anyhow from experience and eluded to it earlier ) I rub shoulders with Australians , Canadians , Americans, New Zeelanders , S Africans , folks from Singapore, the common denominator is Eng speaking ex pats together not unsurprisingly at social functions etc .I've had a separate confirmation that the travelling with an EU citizen advice above is indeed correct.
I think this link (Travel documents for non-EU family members - Your Europe) makes it pretty clear too. In particular the link contained within is (Registering your non-EU family members in another EU country - Your Europe (europa.eu)).

All they have ever known is 3 P status and simply get the relevant visa , be it work , education , recreation or spouse- what ever .
Theres nothing new about this as Forty Two and DPB ? ^^^ have said getting tourist visas.
If you have over the past 24 month managed to navigate through the various travel doc , health declarations, covid passes. QR codes (in date )on your devises , uploading this stuff on the relevant travel web sites .If you have any hair left, then getting the relevant visa to circumnavigate the 90/180 should be a walk in the park .
I'm not sure what your on about, I got my ducks in line way before June 23, hence I hold permanent resident status in Spain.Sorry left you and your chums Poignard and Jordenbasset and Kashurts well behind since the 23 June 2016 .
7 yrs on and still can’t get over it .Pity accept my sympathy. All the best lads .
Uk will push through its rewrite unilaterally of the NI agreement with only the slightest whimper from Brussels the EU needs the UKs nuclear deterrent .France ( remember a none NATO member ) is not enough.Hows that exactly work btw .France holding the only EU nukes not in NATO ?
I mean has the likes of Ben Elton written this comedy script ?
Additionally the U.K. is the cement in the American/ European alliance .
Further more the EU wants to butter up to the U.K. for future voluntary U.K. tax payers money to assist rebuilding the Ukraine once the “ special military operation “ is over “ As it stands accepting the Ukraine in the EU is financial suicide .
As well as poking a stick at a bear .
Arn’t you glad Boris et al are only looking in ?
As you say: 'sensibly'.The USA, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian governments have all sensibly negotiated reciprocal work access rights and academic and professional recognition though, so are in a different situation to the UK.
It's fine pet. Don't worry. Go back to sleep.Porto are these guys still talking the B word , when nothing they said what would happen has.
They indeed are .Porto are these guys still talking the B word , when nothing they said what would happen has.
This Trump you mean ? Read the comments after watching the vid ..
Does Donald Trump write your scripts?
The rambling, barely comprehensible stream-of consciousness, the personal attacks, the fake news, the bogus statistics, the inconsequential asides, the downright lies, the non-sequiturs, are all characteristic of Trump's rantings.
I once crossed the channel on a motorboat. The owner's crew had dropped out and he asked me to go with him. (Why you need a crew on a motor boat, I don't know; I mean it's not as if there's anything to do, is there?)They indeed are .
I don’t think they even have or have ever had a mobo either .FWIW
Looking around the EU on my travels nothing has changed except just one thing I recall in the first week some Dutch border officials snatched a ham Sarni from the hand of a Lithuanian lorry driver arriving from the U.K.
EU need a working reliable nuclear umbrella right now a bloody big one at that .Or make Russian compulsory on the school curriculum.
.
How did you vote? It‘a definately bending me, it’s tough to spread things out?
By the time I’ve visited family and friends, (GFlong term is EU citizen) taking as many skiing opportunities as I can it would appear theres not a lot left on the clock?
Is there a way to work smarter? Can one just buy an annual pass? Is there any word on the street as to a fix with this Going forward?
We’ve just not had to give it a thought for so long, it’s become so much more than normal but post COVID it’s now starting to really bite, at customs I feel that burning look of “ 1 more trip and you’ll be an illegal immigrant”!
please give me hope…….

Anyway, we started the engines, got going, pointed it at Belgium and off we went.
After an hour I was bored stiff. We didn't have mobiles in those days and I'd forgotten to bring a book. The only books on board were Mills & Boon romances and some House & Garden magazines.
Fortunately I found some little electrical job to do that kept me busy for a while. Then a snooze and then more staring at the sea.
At last we arrived, thank God, and I was able to go ashore and have a few drinks.
Next day I got the ferry home.
I've had invitations since to go on motor boats but I always refuse.
If I want that sort of excitement again I'll paint something and watch it dry.
