Sorry left you and your chums Poignard and Jordenbasset and Kashurts well behind since the 23 June 2016 .You've put words on the screen, but are they in some sort of order I should be aware of?
Uk will push through its rewrite unilaterally of the NI agreement with only the slightest whimper from Brussels the EU needs the UKs nuclear deterrent .France ( remember a none NATO member ) is not enough.Hows that exactly work btw .France holding the only EU nukes not in NATO ?
Yes Greg but wiki says this …..my Nuke point .The Fr none commitment bit .A bit of Fred Drift but whilst France left NATO in 1966 didn’t they rejoin in 2009 under Sarkozy? Now part of the military command structure.
It's the other way around EU offered 180 in 365 and the half wits refused it, because they will not have anything EU law related. But UK does allow EU peeps 180 in 365 in the UK. Go figure.........
and yes I am really really really really pi@@ed off about it all - total pain in every respect. Try working out how many days you have stayed in the last 180 on a rolling basis.
That’s my experience too, even during COVID, but…. It doesn’t get you away from the the final In/Out stamp, and that’s where the days start to get scarily close to to having none left!!Last month I drove a UK plate car France-Belgium-Holland and back. No border guards, no interest.
Whilst I get what the participants say here I don’t have a visa for over 90 days or some Euro/Szone right to remain, just the normal for UK resi’s entering the S zone from the UK. My conundrum is different but I’m sensing the only way through is either marriage, long stay pass or just get there and throw caution to the wind….
If she’s got a EU passport you can travel with her when married as a dependant .Enjoying her FoM .
While simultaneously next boat buying a vat free one and playing the TA card .
Apologies, have deleted my post.I suggest you read the advice. I asked them specifically about inter EU travel with a married couple one of whom has a UK passport and the other an EU one.
Doesn't your second link contradict the advice that you've copy and pasted?I suggest you read the advice. I asked them specifically about inter EU travel with a married couple one of whom has a UK passport and the other an EU one.
This bit is a doddle ,it what I mean ……Unfortunately this isn't so. As I can obtain a Polish passport , I made enquiries with Your Europe Advice. This was their reply.
Dear Sir,
Thank you for this enquiry.
As you will already know the UK left the EU on 31 January 2020 under the terms of a Withdrawal Agreement agreed between the UK and EU-27. The Withdrawal Agreement provides for certain limited protections for EU nationals who have exercised their EU rights of free movement in the UK until 31 December 2020. The Withdrawal Agreement provides for certain protections as you were resident in the UK prior to that date.
As you will already know the EU comprises an area in which the free movement of EU nationals is ensured. This freedom of movement is set out in Directive 2004/38/EC.
In outline, the free movement rules provide as follows:
1. As a Polish citizen you are entitled to leave the UK and travel throughout the EU for a year without any formalities other than a valid passport or national identity card (Article 5.1).
In general terms, other than Romania, you can enter a single EU country and remain there for a period of up to three months as a tourist. After that period of three months, you must formalise your residence there and must, in general, be either economically active or financially self-sufficient.
2. Your British wife is entitled to join you in travelling throughout the EU as follows:
a. She can travel to Ireland without any restrictions, without a visa.
b. She can travel in and through each of the EU states which are not part of the Schengen area: Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Cyprus for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa;
c. She can travel in and through the Schengen Area: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland, for a combined total of up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa.
In respect of (b) : Her residence in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Cyprus operates on a purely national basis. This means that this provides up to four 90-day periods.
In respect of (c): the 90-day period in the Schengen Area operates across the whole of the Schengen Area.
3. If the two of you wish to remain in the Schengen Area for a period longer than three months, your wife should obtain a long-term visa. She should obtain that visa from the place that will be the "main place" of the stay or, if none, the state which is the first port of entry.
She can obtain a short-term multiple entry visa. That visa will be valid in that main state for up to a year, but will also her to travel to other Schengen Area states for a period of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Alternatively, if the two of you remain in one state, she can obtain a "residence card for family member of an EU/EEA national". This would allow her to remain in that state with you, and also travel with you for further 90-day periods in other EU states, without a visa.
We appreciate that this is complicated. In summary, your wife is likely to need a visa in order to remain in the Schengen Area for an extended period of time, even as a family member of an EU national. The only exemption is if she obtains a residence card within an EU state (other than Poland).
The Directive is available at the following website:
EUR-Lex - l33152 - EN - EUR-Lex
Travel documents for non-EU family members - Your Europe
Travel documents for EU nationals - Your Europe
We hope that this clarifies your situation.

WowThat’s what I thought but the MPs response laid it at the door of the EU. Like you I am not happy as it has put the kybosh on retirement plans unless SWMBO’s Irish passport allows me to enjoy the same unrestricted travel as her.
.Sorry left you and your chums Poignard and Jordenbasset and Kashurts well behind since the 23 June 2016 .
7 yrs on and still can’t get over it .Pity accept my sympathy. All the best lads .

I mean has the likes of Ben Elton written this comedy script ?
Additionally the U.K. is the cement in the American/ European alliance .
Further more the EU wants to butter up to the U.K. for future voluntary U.K. tax payers money to assist rebuilding the Ukraine once the “ special military operation “ is over “ As it stands accepting the Ukraine in the EU is financial suicide .
As well as poking a stick at a bear .
Arn’t you glad Boris et al are only looking in ?
Don't sugar coat it ?.
Does Donald Trump write your scripts?
The rambling, barely comprehensible stream-of consciousness, the personal attacks, the fake news, the bogus statistics, the inconsequential asides, the downright lies, the non-sequiturs, are all characteristic of Trump's rantings.
Harsh.
