iPad and Atlantic Crossing

Excellent idea :encouragement:

Thank you :)
GHA as you are an IT magician :) any way to superimpose on a similar chart the AIS density traffic maps from say MarineTraffic, with a very light transparency? Not all of it, say just the main traffic axis?
I have georeferenced a number of AIS density maps for the Atlantic and can read them on opencpn, but when I tried to merge them with a raster chart with different degrees of transparency they obscured everything else. :(

More of a fiddle til it sort of works than magician perhaps but thanks for the compliment :)
But that's an interesting thought, I wonder if it would be possible to use the weatherfax plugin to control transparency.. Should work, it's got a built in georeferencing page, I'll have a play soon :encouragement:

Yay! That was easy
On windows, use the snipper prog to grab a section of the screen image, then save it as png. Open in the weatherfax plugin and create a cross with lat/long top left and bottom right. I left it as mercator projection which seemed to work OK.
