Ionian Chandlry

Can anyone recommend good chandlery in the Ionian. I will be there next week and am in the market for a battery charger and possibly a solar panel. Is the secondhand guy still in Vlekho, when we were there 2 years ago he was considering retirement. I will be visiting Nidri, Levkas , Preveza and Corfu.

The Vliho second-hand shop has closed, I believe.

I got a good deal on rigid 85W panels last autumn in a (non-marine) solar panel place in Preveza town. Can't offer the address but it's near the wedding dress shops, about 200 metres before the first roundabout on the side of town closest to the bus station.

The ski boat shop at the far end of Nidri town has a reasonable chandlery and a stock of second hand gear.

For a good quality charger i'd go to the german chap 300m to the southwest of the police station in Levkas.

There's a new chandler in Lefkas Town, Nautilus (they have other branches around Greece too). It is across the main road as you exit the marina (near Metronix). Dimitri Goglis (+30 26450 22365) is the guy to speak to, he will go out of his way to get what you want and will do a good price. Excellent customer service and very professional.

Also CYS, again in Lefkas Town, offer good service and prices.

There is still a second-hand shop in Nidri, next to Nidri Marine (maybe it is even part of Nidri Marine, not sure).

George in NIDRI he will give a discount and deliver free. The second hand shop has closed. The club is still open and doing the usual stuff.
