I`m looking at buying an invicta 26, anyone tell me anything to look out for when viewing. Also any ideas on what price I should pay for a 1969 boat in fantastic condition with loads of extra`s

Great Boats - bought mine 2 years ago & been nothing but pleased. If it's in such fantastic condition you should have no worries but do get a survey & the surveyor should give you an idea of valuation (the insurers might insist on it)
Your bio doesn't say where you are or will be sailing, but I have found that the Invicta is a good safe sea boat

I bought mine middle of 2003 and agree with RTB. A very sweet sailing boat which, with it's long keel. sails on tracks. Quite a good performance. Saw a steady 6.9kts on the clock and on the GPS for a long period on a broad reach, almost hands off.

On price I don't agree with Swangirl. Unless the boat is in poor condition £7000 is too low. Expect to pay £8000 to £10000 depending on condition and fitout.

They were very solidly moulded by Tyler Boat Co (no relatkion) in Kent and finished by several different skilled boatbuilders. Invictas are scarce on the market as owners are keen to hold on to them. Go for it, subject of course to survey.

We had ours for 14 years...took her to Italy and back.

Loved her dearly and it was only the fact that we had a growing family that made us change. But a very sea kindly and forgiving boat, well built, safe and with a good performance. We've been caught out in some exceptional weather and she looked after us every time.

No hesitation in recommending her at all.
