Hi guys,
Does anyone know where i can get some Interior Yacht teak/marine plywood?
Idealy somewhere local to chichester - i would like to see the wood before hand.

I wish to "patch" up a hold in the wood from the old switch panel.

Thanks for your help as usual!

Bought an offcut piece from Howells at Cobbs Quay in Poole, about 15 quid for half a sheet I think. They've got a big offcut rack with a variety of sizes and qualities.

Bampton's woodyard in Vespasian Road, Southampton. They aren't exactly local to Chichester, but they do have a good selection of hardwoods including teaks and including "bargain packs", which is where I got the bits to mend my teak grating from. I have't been there for ages, but they are still there according to the phone book.

Try Hawke House, in Newgate Lane , Fareham. They are primarily a marine fabric supplier but their catalogue has a range of plywoods in it. Part sheet prices as well.

I second the vote for Bamptons. They are still there and usually have a very good selection to choose from. Actually I think they are as "local" as you are going to get to Chichester, I live East of Brighton and still had to go to Bamptons on several occasions.

Given all the building of yuppie flats that has gone on around them, it was a relief to look them up and find them still listed at that address. I don't know of anywhere else that is remotely as good, or as helpful.

I buy my hardwood for boat repairs at Covers in Chichester. Have you tried them?
They also do a very nice line in real oak floors, if your yacht is that big...
