Re: Carry on at this rate...

I would not put up too many more posts like your last two in this thread Wakeup. You seem to be setting out to destroy your case (if you ever had one, which is doubtful) as they seem to be justifying the comment of Kim's to which you take exception.

I dont sell to the foum members, I am based in Guernsey how the hell would I get one or two bottles to each client (as it is labelled haz goods) in time and in a costly manner.

I distribute to retailers. And I wasnt selling, I never put up a post saying buy Soltron I was merely asked something and responded, well within forum rules.

Where I broke the forum rules was where I got fed up with being attacked by some people for not committing comercial suicide and posting sensative information on a forum/bulletin board and thats when it got canned.

I repeat I am NOT going to put up information on this board for the gratification of a few members. Do you see Bill Gates scanning all his docs and putting them on the web for all to see.

Alot o this info would only actually be understood by very few forum members who are in the fuel industry so that would be a waste of time. These reports do not get written for the general publics ease of understanding. The ones that do are usually anecdotal and not scientific.

me too petem!

oh and soltron definitely worked for me for the specific purpose of sorting out and keeping clear diesel bug - a sorry state of affairs on a nearly new boat that was independently witnessed by 2 other forumites!

but back to the thread...........

Legal action? Seriously?

Legal action against me, you are joking, yes?

For the record the post in question, titled Deja Moo, was

Same bull s hit over and over again!!!! Although to be far to Dom, he's not the one pedalling it this time...

I think I quoted you? If your retained solicitor can see a libel in this I'd ask for a second opinion.

Depsol gets no favours here...I don't see the ad schedules and so you probably know more than me about what is being advertised. He has edged right up to the invisible line that separates overt commercial posts from the rest on many occasions. In the past there have been legitimate exchanges from people in the marine trade concerning products and we try to allow these as much as possible. My feeling is that forum users have up until now welcomed Depsol's contributions regarding fuel additives but if the general feeling is he has crossed the line or is not prepared to engage at a level other than 'Soltron is great' then perhaps it has to work a different way in the future.

Re: Legal action? Seriously?

What is quite clear is that you do not understand libel law, which is interesting since you are the censor here, I would imagine therefore IPC are horribly exposed.

Re: Legal action? Seriously?

Kim, I've had good advice from DeepSol and a free bottle of Soltron. This sorted out the boat on the two occasions I've had diesel bug. IMHO DeepSol has made a valuable contribution and I for one would have been much worse off without his help.

I\'ve seen the results

Not personally had the need to use Soltron but have a friend who started using it in the hope of reducing smokey engines. I must say it definitely worked!!

Maybe another product would have had the same effect but not seen it tried so can only comment on Soltron.

Missing the point

Hasn't the point been missed here?

No one is suggesting that Depsol isn't helpful, or indeed that his product doesn't work.... the issue as I see it, is that its Depsol's inference that HIS Soltron is the only AUTHENTIC and the others are not?

Saying it's up to you to try it and see for yourself is a bit lame IMHO.

Precisely - Thank you

If you dare insist on seeing real scientific data then you get either censored by the Tollah or chasticsed by Depsol

Re: Missing the point

I agree with you, even though I use his expensive snake oil regularly. Its the lack of comparative info and blanket rubbishing of other products that is frustrating. Time to put up or shut up, methinks

Re: Missing the point

Can't one of the magazines (MBM/MBY) pick this up and do a comparative test (short term/long term)? It seems to be a hot topic! Kim?
