I'm hoping that we might get a few marine businesses to the new commercial units... would be very useful!

There are also very long-standing plans to convert Fort Gilkicker and Haslar Hospital into luxury apartments but I've yet to see any builders' lorries heading in their direction.

In this case, its all looking quite likely to happen... they've had planning permission for some time... and have now formally announced the start dates.

It seems likely that the proposed development will mean the removal of the residents' toilets and showers in the old training workshop building. Isn't this going to leave the marina a bit short on toilets and showers?

Yep.... I understood the baths were staying....

SYH, is IMHO, equally as dull, but with added dust, and grief from their bar over etiquette and racers rights.

Eh? What's that about then? I've never had any grief in there from anyone when I've visited, and I'm usually as scruffy as they come.
