Intense thunderstorm currently in Thames Estuary

Quite an intense electric storm in the Thames Estuary at the moment. Lots of negative going Cloud-Ground and Intercloud strikes!

Perhaps it is destroying the London and Thanet Arrays?

Yes, I'm in Southend and the storm is adding a dramatic glamour to the place. Seagulls going crazy around my office.

There were two classic Anvil clouds in that direction this evening, text book!

Had a look at netweather.tv and there was a strip of rain from the Dartford M25 crossing up towards Cambridge.
