No wonder our Insurance Rates are high. Browsing through the Moody Owners Website there is an APB for a Moody 44 nicked from the Hamble beginning of Feb. But wait for it....................Not noticed missing until first week of March. I smell a rat. Hopefully the Insurance investigator will question the marina staff and owner. Its probably a Carribean or Med Charter boat by now.

It's a good job the Hamble River management had commissioned an eyewateringly expensive CCTV system in order that they can manage the river from their armchairs, AND keep tabs on stolen boats.

Does it work? No it does not, their solution is to throw more thousands of pounds at the problem and even then it still will not work at night - and yet the Harbour Authority continue to extort a kings ransom from the berthholders for an unserviceable system.

Perhaps the Moody just went off on it's own to the sanity of a well managed harbour elsewhere.
