Instrument retaining thumb nuts

Apologies if this is a bit PBO, however, I note that there are quite a few of the retaining thumb nuts missing from the back of my instruments. Does anyone know what size the threads (M3?) are so that I can get some replacements from eBay?

Hi Pete,

Just put a nut on the back of a spare volvo gauge - it fits a 7mm spanner, which I believe means it is an M4 nut.

If you put the correct hex nut on, you don't really need any thumb nuts!

They're M3. I know because I've had those dash panels custom made by Axon, and they spec M3 by default.

When you buy replacements get twice as many as you think you need. When they are doubled up they don't vibrate loose.
