My inflatable rib is now a deflatable rib because it has three punctures, all in the same tube and all happened during the night last night. It is now sitting on the foredeck being readied for the patches, which means that I cannot make it ashore for happy hour this evening. What a disaster.

Moving on (before I get too depressed) the bottom was full of barnacles, as is the bottom of Stingo. Through the hull, I can hear those fish that eat the barnacles munching away. I have to wonder if the three holes are the result of the barnacle-munching-fish taking a bite of the hypalon?

I am sure it is something to do with teeth on your dinghy chaps.

On a more or less serious note not to mention a bit of thread drift, there are some monster fish in SBL. I was sitting in the cockpit one evening at anchor with a bright light shining in the water admiring the shrimp and dinky squid darting about in the light when something long and silver with a really big mouth came up. 6 ft or more! I spilt my cocoa

That noise you hear under the boat is often mistaken for fish.

Its actually the Polyestermites.
