In search of youth sailing trust

I've been having a chat with one of my sites sellers about what he does and he's given me permission to publish his latest e mail .

I will soon have more than 12 educational sailing programs up and more on
the way. It will be a while as it is the busy time of the year for
sailing.
In Victoria BC Canada we race all year round (we do not get below 0 most
days)and the big races are in this month.
After the races I will put the rest up.
Buy the way I should tell you about my business. I have a small C&C 24
called Annie. I have taken over 1000+ different sailors on board for
free. The wear and tear is starting to show. So I made these CDs to help
them learn and others too. 1/2 the profits go to the boat and the other
1/2 go to a junior program from that country which it is bought. If I do
sell any cds on your site I will need a junior program over there to
donate. Have and suggestions?

So does anyone know of a suitable youth sailing trust that would benefit from this generosity ?

Incidentally , the video contains some pretty stunning pics of loads of excellent boats and towards the end they get even better with background shots so worth watching

Not sure whether it's what you were looking for but the idea is excellent! Always good to see support for real boaters, I'm impressed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm sure there are plenty of lesser-known youth sailing trusts that forum members are associated with that wouldnt decline some extra funding, even if it were just to buy a few lifejackets or safety equipment!

Please keep us posted with the trust you eventually choose!

There is the Tall Ships Youth Trust (formerly the Sail Training Association, or STA) - they would be a worthy contender - more info about them at www.tallships.org
(I am their local rep here in Barbados).

And another very worthy contender would be the Ocean Youth Trust - more info about them at http://www.oyc.org.uk
