New boat (65 years old), with 10 year old Vetus diesel.

What do I use that squeeze bulb for ?
After a filter change you can either waggle the lever on the mechanical fuel pump located under the seawater pump OR multiple squeezes of that bulb to pump the fuel through to bleed out any air. The small Vetus engines are largely self bleeding so no need to open any bleed valves.New boat (65 years old), with 10 year old Vetus diesel.
What do I use that squeeze bulb for ?
CleverIf you fit one between the primary filters and the lift pump, it also acts as a warning of blocked filters as the bulb deflates under the increasing vacuum.
