Impressive service from Crusader

About 6 years ago we bought new sails from Crusader in Poole Sailmakers, Riggers, Covermakers - Crusader Sails . New main, Genoa and some other stuff. Yesterday I noticed that a sail shackle had busted so after poking around on the internet I then called Crusader. End result is they are posting me half a dozen FOC ‘just put some money into something worthwhile and charitable” (I paraphrase).
So there we are, an excellent company to deal with.

Still amazes me how company’s don’t realize simple gestures with the client reap massive rewards…….especially in the age of internet

I have had excellent service from both Crusader and Kemps over the years, also NASA Marine and a small company called Castle Marine in Caernarfon who are propeller specialists.
If only more companies adopted good customer practices like these perhaps the British boat industry might just recover and be successful again?

Marlec
Just this week had excellent service from Marlec (the windgen and solar people) in Corby.
Windgen not working and I suspected the regulator. Spoke to Sarah (knowledgeable) and I was asked to return it for testing and was emailed the form they use for returns. Acknowledgment-of-receipt email from them as soon as it arrived, then a report from Sarah that it was indeed kaput and the offer of discounted replacement. So I have gone for the better HRDi and here's hoping.
The sticker on the back of the one I removed showed it was tested at manufacture in 2012 so very, very long out of warranty when most manufacturers wouldn't entertain even testing it.
