Your generous appreciation of the albums I posted recently persuaded me to compile another: North Scotland: NE to SW
I hope you will find this one worth a look too.
No more, unless I am very lucky this year.

You are a lucky chap to have such a beautiful cruising ground, Thanks again for sharing your great photos with us.

When I click on your name it does not offer a homepage; merely: public profile; all posts etc. Any clues?

Sorry, My fault: not well up on the jargon. I should have said 'public profile' not 'Homepage', which I now believe is something different. Doh!

Now that I'm on: my thanks for the appreciative responses: makes the effort worthwhile.

Fantastic stuff, thanks.

I'll be a happy man if I ever have a pic of my own labelled "Cape Wrath again" :D

We got to Orkney on our last trip to Shetland but gave up after ten days of cold Northerly F6-7s where the temperature failed to get into double figures.

Got the tide wrong coming back round Cape Wrath and spent hours looking at it . . . I would recognise it anywhere!

This year Shetland and beyond . . .

Thanks for the album, great pics. I even got the challenge! Although it was a very rough guess since it seemed out of sequence with the other pics.
Anyway nice to have a preview of my cruising this year- this will be my first summer as a yacht owner and I'm planning on taking a month to lazily circumnavigate Skye with lots of detours.

Well done on the challenge! (It was deliberately out of sequence!)

I've just looked up our log for last summer;
We have an entry for 1313 on 20-05-09 when heading North up the little Minch:
'Yacht crossed ahead; Wayfarer dinghy, being well sailed, 2 up'. .............. (Wind SSE 5)

We kept watch on it until it suddenly vanished; apparently into a cliff on S Uist/Benbecula.

I'll bet that was you!

Hmmm, sorry to dissapoint but I've not been further south Loch Erisort with the wee boat. Interesting encounter, I wonder who it was?
