It's snowing...

I didn't have to wait until tomorrow morning to get a picture of snow on the decks...

I'm now wondering how effective the vents will be if they are covered in snow...

I survived the night, was ok up till about 4am when i started to get a bit uncomfortable! Got dripped on alot as well!

Will be back on board Fri and Sat nights, getting heating for that!!

Im at Noss till the end of march, she is then going ashore for a complete re-furb. Should take 6 months or so. Then hopefully round to cardiff bay yacht club, if they let me berth there that is, she's 50ft and their max is 40ft. Can but try!

Tokenjam - I'm leaving Noss 31 March, that might be my trot they are talking about!

well back on the yacht today. In for another cold night though, ordered a 12v electric blanket but it didn't turn up in time. So thought as a contingency i would get a camping stove and two hot water bottles (of the furry variety!). However went into B+Q and got a 450w panel heater.........shouldn't have bothered!! Then forgot to get the camping stove! Oh well i survived last time.

There is a little wind down on the Noss and my yacht is sailing around on her bow mooring line quite a bit. Was a little disconcerting when i noticed it first, as i had a flat battery and thought she had broken free. Getting used to it now though.

Haven't posted much recently as i left my internet dongle on the boat! As you can tell it survived the cold and damp over the week.

Just to keep you company, I'm on Rogue for tonight, for the first time since before the Big Freeze.

Took about half an hour to get the ice frozen hatch open, and I nearly gave up and went home.

Once down below, found the loos, sink, freshwater system, frozen solid - hopefully leaving a heater on for the next week or so will defrost everything. Luckily, I brought 10 litres of water, and have a 240V shore supply, so can run the kettle, microwave, and fan heater.

It was 3 degrees C when I got on board, but the fan heater and eberspacher have got it up to about 16 degrees now.... still feels cold, and I dont think my thermals will be coming off tonight :)

About to microwave a tagliatelle ready meal for tea.

Have a good night!!
